Membership Executive

A national compliance scheme for end-of-life tyres, working with producers, importers, retailers and waste collectors · Environmental compliance

Time to fill
20 days
Package
€34,000–€38,000
Location
Dublin

The role sits between member service and data: managing member accounts, guiding registrations, and quality-checking the reporting submissions the scheme depends on. It needed someone comfortable in a CRM and genuinely careful with numbers — a combination that is easy to claim and harder to evidence.

Forty candidates were worked and sixteen interviewed internally before six went forward. The client interviewed five and hired one. Twenty days from brief to filled, the fastest search on this page.

Electrical Supervisor — Utilities

A public lighting contractor of more than forty years, delivering street, sports and monument lighting nationwide · Utilities & infrastructure

Time to fill
22 days
Package
€55,000–€65,000
Location
Dublin, hybrid between site and office

Supervising electrical crews and specialist subcontractors on large infrastructural contracts is a supervisory job before it is a technical one — programme, budget, safety culture and subcontractor management, on street furniture and cabling works across the country.

That narrows the field to people who have carried real contract responsibility, so the search stayed deliberately tight: ten candidates worked, three presented, two interviewed and one hired inside three weeks.

Pipeline — candidates reaching each stage

  • Internal interview 6
  • Presented to client 3
  • Client interview 2
  • Hired 1

Ten candidates worked, three presented. A small, precise search.

Ten candidates worked in total. A narrow brief does not need a wide net — it needs the right one.

Production & Dispatch Coordinator

The same family-owned Co. Galway food manufacturer, hiring a third time · Food manufacturing

Time to fill
27 days
Package
€16.50–€18.00 per hour
Location
Co. Galway, evening shift

A hands-on evening line lead for the dispatch department: operationally involved on the floor while taking ownership of an area and keeping the evening shift running. The same constraint as every evening role — the candidate has to want the shift, not tolerate it.

Twenty-two candidates were worked and four presented. The client interviewed three and hired one, in 27 days. It is the third role this manufacturer has trusted us with.

Lead Maintenance Engineer

A family-owned Irish food manufacturer with almost a century of trading history, across three generations · Food manufacturing

Time to fill
46 days
Package
Competitive salary plus benefits
Location
Co. Galway

This was explicitly not an office-based management role. The brief was for a hands-on lead who would spend the day on the factory floor — breakdown response, electrical and mechanical fault-finding, preventative maintenance and root cause analysis — reporting to the Managing Director and setting the maintenance culture on site.

Engineers who want that responsibility without the desk are a real but limited group, and the site is rural. Twenty-nine candidates were worked and eight presented before the client interviewed five and hired one.

AV Installation Engineer

An audio-visual integrator delivering meeting rooms, collaboration spaces and larger event environments · Audio-visual & technology

Time to fill
60 days
Package
€40,000–€45,000, structured progression toward €60,000
Location
Dublin, client sites nationwide

The brief wanted three to four years of commercial AV installation across a wide technical surface — Teams and Zoom rooms, displays, projection and edge blending, audio infrastructure and digital signage — plus the client-facing confidence to survey a site and be trusted in front of the customer.

Breadth is what made it slow. Plenty of engineers hold part of that stack; fewer hold enough of it and are willing to travel. Thirty-one candidates were worked, six presented and four interviewed before an offer was signed.

Senior Environmental Scientist

An employee-owned environmental and engineering consultancy with offices across the UK, Ireland and internationally · Environmental consultancy

Time to fill
69 days
Package
€40,000–€55,000 DOE
Location
Dublin, hybrid

The brief asked for four to five years of consultancy experience in environmental management — a technical appointment inside an employee-owned practice that puts real weight on professional development. Consultancy experience is the narrow part: plenty of environmental scientists work client-side, far fewer have carried billable technical work.

Twenty candidates were worked and five presented. The client interviewed four and hired one.

Graduate / Junior Quantity Surveyor

A specialist in radon testing and remediation with over thirty years in the industry · Construction & remediation

Time to fill
89 days
Package
€38,000–€45,000
Location
Co. Cork

A junior quantity surveying role in a rural part of Co. Cork, for a specialist whose work most QS graduates have never encountered. The technical bar was reachable; the constraint was location and the willingness to build a career in a niche rather than on a large commercial site.

Fifty-one candidates were worked to produce seven worth presenting. The client interviewed three and hired one. Eighty-nine days — and on a fixed fee, a search of that length costs the client exactly what a three-week one does.

Pipeline — candidates reaching each stage

51 candidates worked, seven presented, three interviewed by the client.

Food Production Line Leader

The same family-owned Co. Galway food manufacturer, hiring again · Food manufacturing

Time to fill
137 days
Package
€16.00–€18.50 per hour
Location
Co. Galway, evening shift

An evening-shift line leader is one of the hardest briefs in food manufacturing. The skills are learnable; the constraint is the shift. Every candidate has to want evenings, be able to reach a rural site for them, and be ready to lead a small team rather than simply work the line.

It took 119 candidates worked and 47 internal interviews to produce twelve worth presenting. The client interviewed seven and hired two of them. This is the search that most clearly makes the argument for the model: on a percentage fee, 137 days of work would have been billed against the salary; on a fixed fee, the client paid what was agreed at the start.

Pipeline — candidates reaching each stage

  • Sourced & screened 119
  • Internal interview 47
  • Presented to client 12
  • Client interview 7
  • Hired 2

119 candidates worked. Twelve presented, seven interviewed — and two hired.

119 candidates worked, two hired, and a returning client. The hardest search on this page cost the same as the easiest.

137 days from brief to filled, twice over.

How the fee works

Every role on this page was delivered on the same basis: a fixed fee in euro, agreed before we start, with no percentage of salary attached. The twenty-day search and the 137-day search cost the client the same.

That is the point of the model. A percentage fee charges you more for hiring a better-paid person and rewards us for the easy search. A fixed fee puts the risk of a long search where it belongs — with us. And if we do not fill the role, you get every cent of your fee back.

Prices in euro. Talent Finder is a UK-registered supplier, so no VAT is added to your payment — VAT-registered Irish businesses account for Irish VAT under the reverse-charge mechanism. Your accountant will recognise this as standard for cross-border B2B services.

Every figure here comes from our own placement records. Clients and placed candidates are not named. Full detail on the model is on our Guaranteed Hire page, or call us on (01) 575 5347.
